A Fine Summer's Day: An Inspector Ian Rutledge Mystery (Inspector Ian Rutledge Mysteries)

This novel is sort of a prequel to the Ian Rutledge books that carry the series forward. It begins with the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria and his wife in Sarajevo, the prelude to the start of World War I months later.

Another great Inspector Ian Rutledge story. Book was in great condition.

I had a hard time reading this one, knowing the ultimate fate of so many of the characters who are still alive and well during this book. I am just grateful Todd doesn’t feature Hamish much.
