Words and Pictures (2013)

What is the meaning of a movie that displays a very talented English teacher and writer as an alcoholic who is obnoxious, unlikeable, and totally wasting his life / talent away because he is addicted to alcohol. Why not just watch someone puking his guts (life) out for 90 minutes.

The romance did not appeal me and the second half of the movie is not only predictable but quite weak and a cliche .. however, strong performances by the protagonists - Juliette Binoche and Clive Owen come to rescue and help the movie 'kind of' earns 3 stars what otherwise would be 2..

Starts off with a great premise and excellent dialogue throughout, but the story falters 2/3rds of the way through with the art vs. words contention going completely one sided given the exemplars.
